I was pretty happy with the way this sketch was turning out... until I left it and went to make breakfast.
A little boy came and scribbled all over it.
If I've learned anything from this project, it's that art is more about the experience than it is about the result.

Face #167.
For some reason I was dreaming of bright colors all night last night... so I got out my colored pencils first thing this morning!
I would LOVE to get some Prismacolor markers. I've never really worked with them before, but they sound amazing. What are your favorite art supplies?

Face #122.
Been singing "Inch by inch, row by row..." with the kids all day, and I finally started planting my garden last night, so this is what I have on my mind :)

Face #61.
I did this using colored pencils and crosshatching with layers of different bright colors. I didn't put a lot into this one, but it's a fun technique, and looks cool with a lot of detail and layering.

#41. Paper Dolls
Today I was watching Blue's Clues with the kids, and Blue's "felt friends" were playing dress-up with all of their awesome costumes. I thought it would be fun to make some little friends for the kids to play dress-up with. The opportunities are endless if we're the ones making the costumes! I didn't have any felt, so I made paper dolls.
I've made paper dolls before, but it's so much more fun with the intention of actually playing with them.

Face #2.5. Self Portrait.
I did this one last night before bed. I guess one face a day just isn't enough for me! ;)
Self portrait.
